FDX-B Protocol (15-digit) Carrier Frequency: 134.2 kHz

This is the global ISO 11784/11785 standard. Fully compatible with SureFeed, Catit Pixi, and all smart pet doors.

Universally Supported

FDX-A Protocol (10-digit) Carrier Frequency: 125 kHz

Commonly used in older US chips (e.g. Avid, HomeAgain). Supported by SureFeed but requires an external RFID collar tag for some older door models.

Partially Supported

AVID Protocol (9-digit) Carrier Frequency: 125 kHz

Avid encrypted chips are notoriously difficult for smart readers. Often requires a separate RFID collar fob for reliable scanning.
